The Sea Change summer program will immerse high school and college students in the experience of building a grassroots organization and getting out the youth vote in the historic 2018 midterm elections.
Participants will get historic perspective, connect with community leaders and elected officials, learn about the latest voter engagement/education tools, and then build their own program that will reach, register and excite millennial voters. All while helping build California as the leader in the movement to take back the House.
When: June 10, 2018 – August 11, 2018; Monday – Friday, 10am – 2pm
Where: The program will be based at Westside Pavilion and will include travel around Metro LA
and the 25th Congressional District.
Who’s Eligible: This program is for high school and college students, ages 15-21. Youth who are working, taking classes, or planning to take classes are also welcome to apply.
Cost: There is no cost to participate in this program. Materials, transportation during the hours of the program, and lunch will be provided. A stipend equivalent to the minimum wage will be provided to participants.
